Search Engine Optimization, in short, SEO article, is essentiality of an SEO copywriting.

In spite of being an excellent copywriter on various topics without applying required SEO’s rules and formulas, one can never become an accomplished SEO copywriter.

There for, we will analyze all elements of an SEO article, starting with the headline.

The Headline

Since this subject has already been discussed, this time I’ll just add that the headline should be catchy, interesting and short enough to “call for action”, that is – reading an article.

Also, the main keyword for whom you intend to optimize a text MUST be the main component of a headline.

Subheadlines

Interesting subheadlines give “juice” to a text. They will grab the readers’ attention and intrigue them to continue reading our text.

If they incorporate conclusions, it would be better for a text.

Keywords

There are main keywords and secondary keywords.

A keyword does not mean a single word but rather group of words standing together as a conceptual unit.

Main keywords must be in a headline and in the first paragraph of a text.

Secondary keywords should be arranged through the text unobtrusively as a binding fabric giving extra information and quality.

I’ve already written text where I mentioned keywords and a method of counting them, because of a density and “white hat” rules, where I wrote that you have to write your text according to your keywords, and not putting them in already written text.

Also, you need to analyze keywords and find the most appropriate one for the article you write.

Text

Supposedly for a good result, it would be appropriate for an SEO text to contains between 500 and 2000 words or more. A total of 500 words would be appropriate for a blog, while an SEO text should have a minimum of 1000 words of meaningful, high-quality content.

It is strongly recommended to include links throughout the text. These links should lead to other pages and articles on your website and also, to pages and articles outside of your website.

It is important that your text has quality and that is interesting to read.

A reader must feel that he has got something from you; some new information, technique and in general, has profited by reading your text.

Remember this: GOOD SEO TEXT CONTAINS SOME SORT OF TREASURE FOR READERS!

Important guideline to follow in writing an article is to write the text through the “Inverse Pyramid”.

That means you should emphasize everything important in the first line of each paragraph. This will make it easier for a reader to “glance over” into your text and keep him interested to continue reading it.

Tables, charts, enumerations

will make a text more interesting and more readable.

The Conclusion

The conclusion should be clear, concise and contain the most important points in text providing a useful tool to a reader.

The conclusion should also include “call to action”, for example, if we have written about the latest running shoes, the option of purchasing these sneakers is imminent. It should provide the online link for sale and/or information about the store where these shoes could be bought.

This will conclude the rules for an SEO article.

  • Mind-blowing headlines that are interesting and eye-catchy
  • Pump your text with amazing subheadlines
  • Write your text according to your keywords
  • Tables, charts, enumerations, pictures, must be an integral part of a text
  • Concise conclusion with a call to action
